Green Beans Meal


By adding pine nuts to this green beans recipe you can have a more chewy meal and almonds definitely add an unusual flavor to this vegetarian meal.

Yield: 2 servings


  • 1 lb. of green beans (fresh)
  • 4 gloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons of pine nuts (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese


  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan. When the oil is warm, add garlic, sliced almonds, pine nuts and stir them for 2 minutes.
  2. Add green beans and stir for a couple of minutes. Sautee them in low heat until the green beans are cooked. Stir them often. Cooking time varies per your taste (firm or tender).
  3. Pour the green beans in a bowl, and serve with grated parmesan cheese.
  4. Serve cold.
