Crock Pot Turkey Breast Recipe

This crock pot recipe shows an easy way to make a low sodium turkey meal. Please note that amounts for the ingredients below (especially chicken broth, white wine and turkey breasts) may vary acording to the size of your crock pot.

Ingredients (Serves 2 people)

  • Turkey breasts sized to fit in your crock pot
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup table white wine
  • 1/2 cup of low sodium chicken broth (optional)


  1. Place sliced onions at the bottom of your crock pot.
  2. Put turkey breasts on the onions.
  3. Mix olive oil, chicken broth and wine wine. Pour the mix over the turkey.
  4. Place the remaining ingredients on the turkey.
  5. Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
