I would like to know how much sodium a healthy person should consume a day. Any ideas?
How much sodium per day is healthy?

It is less than 2,400mg per day for a healthy person. If you exercise or do physical work a lot than this limit can be little higher (up to 3,000mg per day I heard), but
most hypertension, heart patients should keep their intake less than 2,000mg. Please also note that too low sodium is also bad. If you are consuming less than 500mg per day then you may want to increase your sodium intake a little. This must be easy to do, considering a teaspoon has 2,300 mgs of sodium.Posted 6 months ago #
